Carcès is a typical medieval, picturesque wine village of approximately 2000 inhabitants. The village is located in the green heart of the Provence, the Provence Verte, in the valley of the River L'Argens surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
Carcès has various small shops and restaurants, and a supermarket just outside the village centre. Market day is Saturday.
