Draguignan

Draguignan used to be mainly an administrative and military orientated city, but is now increasingly becoming also a tourist and cultural destination.

The center of Draguignan is a variety of wide avenues surrounded by plane trees, modern shopping streets and small, intimate squares in the old center, each with their own history.

Be sure to visit the Place aux Herbes, Place de l'Oberservance and Place du Cros with old buildings, beautiful wrought iron balconies and wood finished doors. Also the Tour de l'Horloge, the market, the ancient chapels and the Eglise St Michel are definitely worth a visit.
