Provence is the largest rosé producing region in the world. There are three appellations: Côteaux d'Aix en Provence, Côteaux Varois en Provence and Côtes de Provence.

Vide Greniers (flea markets) and brocantes (antique markets) are organised in many Provençal villages during the season. Many of these events are announced in advance with signs and posters along the main roads.

Throughout the year, there are local (Provence) markets all over Provence. These markets sell specific Provençal products, such as herbs, wicker baskets and bags, soaps, lavender-based products, tablecloths, honey and cheeses.

There are several beautifully landscaped golf courses in Provence and on the Côte d'Azur, which have much to offer golfers of all levels. Due to the mild southern French climate, the spring and autumn seasons are also perfect for playing golf.
