Wine chateaus

The Provence region is the largest rosé producer in the world. There are three appellations: Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, Coteaux Varois en Provence and Cotes de Provence.

Rosé finds its origins in Provence 2,600 years ago, when the Greeks planted the first vines in the region around Marseille. Today, the region around Aix en Provence is typical for the wines from this region, and the best rosés also come from this region.

In most wine chateaus and wine domains (Domaines), you can take a guided tour as well as taste and purchase the wines produced.
